# Authoring files

> JSON Schema for the Mantle files you write. Not versioned.

These files are the machine-readable contract for the YAML and `skill.md`
frontmatter you write. Each schema is generated from the model for that file.

The [File Reference](https://rasa.com/docs/mantle/reference/project-structure.md) pages explain what the fields
mean. Open the JSON file for the fields themselves.

These files are not versioned. The published docs are the current contract.
